Small Shield
Your basic shield, and the one that will aid you through most of your quest. It is given to you by Princess Zelda in Hyrule Town in the very beginning of your adventure, and you must immediately use it to protect her from one of those dangerous Business Scrubs.
Mirror Shield
A shield almost as legendary as your final blade, it can protect you from as good as any enemy attack. You get it from Big Goron after he accidently turns your Small Shield into this one, when he is eating your Small Shield.
