Save the Maku Tree

After watching Veran alter the Past, get the Wooden Sword from Impa and go south, then west to Lynna City. You will then watch the Maku Tree disappear. Travel east from where the tree disappeared to find a warp which leads to the Past. Take the warp. Go south from there to enter the Dark Tower.

Explore the tower to learn about Veran's actions, and you'll find a shovel. Use the shovel to dig your way into a cave that leads to the Maku Path. On the path, you'll enter a room with a narrow ledge that extends over a large pit. Push the blocks to reach a switch, then hit it to make a Small Key appear.

In a locked room, you'll find a switch surrounded by a complex pattern of blocks. Push three of the blocks out of the way to reach the switch, which opens a door. Exit through the door and make your way to the Maku Tree Sprout. Defeat the Moblins who are attacking the Sprout to save the Maku Tree.
