Wing Dungeon - Small Key Guide

As you explore Wing Dungeon, you'll require five Small Keys. If you come to a locked door as you follow these directions to the Boss Key and other items in this Dungeon, use this guide to determine which Small Keys you may have missed.

Small Key One - Go up one screen and use the Shield to defeat the enemies. Go left one screen and push the rolling block right three, up one, left one, down one and left into the hole to light the torch and open the door. Go up two screens, left two then defeat all of the enemies for a Small Key.

Small Key Two - From the entrance, go up one screen, right one through the locked door, bomb the bottom wall, go down one screen then go down the stairs. Go right across the ladders and moving platforms, up the far-right ladder and defeat the enemies for a Small Key.

Small Key Three - From the entrance, step into the Mini- Boss Warp, go right one screen on the top and take the stairs. Go down one screen, right one, jump over the yellow tile twice to change it to red and go right one screen. Get into the mine cart and hit the switch in the next room to exit the cart in that room. Bomb the right wall, go right one screen then defeat the enemies for a Small Key.

Small Key Four - From the entrance, step into the Mini- Boss Warp, go right one screen on the top and take the stairs. Go down one screen, right one, jump over the yellow tile twice to change it to red and go right one screen. Get in the cart, hit the switch in the next room to stop in that room. Push the rolling block left one, down one, right one and up three into the hole. Get back into the mine cart. Jump over the tiles to make them match the other set of blocks for a Small Key.

Small Key Five - From the entrance, step into the Mini- Boss Warp, then go right one screen on upper path, jump down on the lower- left side and go down one screen. Jump across the platforms, change the colored tile to blue then go back up one screen. Go left one screen, right one on the upper path and enter the mine cart. Go up one screen, push one of the pots onto the switch, go right one screen then go down one screen. Push the colored statues to match the other set of statues to get the Small Key. You can only push statues of the same color as the tile in front of the torch, and you can jump over the tile to change the color.

Wing Dungeon - Find the Mini-Boss

From the entrance, go up one screen and use the Shield to defeat the enemies. Go right through the locked door and go up one screen. Go left through the locked door and get into the mine cart. When the cart stops, go up one screen to fight the mini-boss.

Wing Dungeon - Defeat the Mini-Boss

Wait for the mini- boss to smash the ground and then hit him with your sword while he is on the ground. Try to get him to land on the blue tiles since they will not break. When he is almost defeated, he will begin to bounce when he hits the ground. It takes about 10 hits to defeat the mini-boss.

Wing Dungeon - Get the Roc's Feather

From the entrance, step into the Mini- Boss Warp, go right one screen on the top and take the stairs. Go down one screen, right one, go up the stairs, go right one screen and take the Roc's Feather.

Wing Dungeon - Get the Boss Key

From the entrance, step into the Mini- Boss Warp, go right one on the lower path and go down one screen. Jump across the platforms and change the colored tile to blue then go back up one screen. Go left one screen, right one on the upper path, up the ladder and enter the mine cart. Go up one screen, push one of the pots onto the switch and go right one screen. Go through the locked door on the right and defeat all of the enemies to get the Boss Key. These enemies cannot be defeated unless the color of the floor tile is the opposite of the color of the enemy. To change the color of the floor tiles, jump over them.

Wing Dungeon - Find the Head Thwomp

From the entrance, step into the Mini- Boss Warp, go right one on the lower path and go down one screen. Jump across the platforms and change the colored tile to blue then go back up one screen. Go left one screen, right one on the upper path, go through the locked block and enter the mine cart. Go up one screen, push one of the pots onto the switch and go right one screen. Go up through the locked door, right through the Boss Door and down the stairs to fight the Head Thwomp.

Wing Dungeon - Defeat the Head Thwomp

Ride the platforms over the Head Thwomp and drop bombs into him to make his face stop spinning. When he attacks, cower at the bottom- right of the ladder to stay safe. You can also stand on the edge of the top platform and throw bombs into him. If you run out of Bombs during the fight, wait at the bottom of the screen for the Head Thwomp to throw some. Hit the Head Thwomp four times to earn the Ancient Wood.
