Moonlit Grotto - Small Key Guide
As you explore Moonlit Grotto, you'll require four Small Keys. If you come to a locked door as you follow these directions to the Boss Key and other items in this Dungeon, use this guide to determine which Small Keys you may have missed.
Small Key One - Go up one, defeat the enemies, go right one screen, up one and right one screen. Bomb the top-right cracked block, throw a bomb over the wall to break the top cracked block, push the block that was above it down, throw a bomb over the other small wall to break the next cracked block, push the block that was below it up, push the block to the right of the crystal up, then push the statue to where the first cracked block was to get a Small Key.
Small Key Two - From the entrance, go up two screens through the locked door, right one, enter the turnstile, go down one screen, left one,
up one, right one and enter the turnstile. Go up one screen, right one, step on the switch to activate the enemies and defeat them with Bombs to get a Small Key.
Small Key Three - From the entrance, go up two screens through the locked door and drop down the pit. Go down one screen, defeat the enemy, go down one screen, destroy the enemies, go up one screen on the left side, destroy the enemy with a bomb, go down one screen on left side and left one. Throw a bomb over the barrier to activate the orb and make the statue move,
then go up the stairs. Go left one screen and push the top three blocks against the wall to get a Small Key.
Small Key Four - From the entrance, step into the Mini-
Boss Warp, go left one screen, up one and push the bottom-
right block left to get a Small Key. You must defeat the two Mini-Moldrum enemies before you can push the block.
Moonlit Grotto - Get the Seed Shooter
From the entrance, go up two screens through the locked door, right one and step into the turnstile. Go down one screen, left one, up one, right one and step into the turnstile. Go up two screens through the locked door. Go left one screen, down one, up one on the left side, up one through the locked door, left one and destroy the enemies for the Seed Shooter.
Moonlit Grotto - Find the Mini-Boss
From the entrance, go up one screen, defeat the enemies, go right one screen and break Blue Crystal #1. Go up one screen, enter the turnstile and go right one screen. Bomb the top-right cracked block, throw a bomb over the wall to break the top cracked block then push the block that was above it down. Throw a bomb over the other small wall to break the next cracked block, push the block that was below it up and break Blue Crystal #2.
Go left one screen, enter the turnstile, go down one screen, left one, up one through the locked door and drop down the shaded hole. Go down one screen, defeat the enemy, go down one screen, destroy the enemies, go up two screens on left side, go up the stairs and break Blue Crystal #3. Push the misplaced block to the right, go right one screen, enter the turnstile, go down one screen, left one, up one, right one and enter the turnstile
Go up one screen and use the Seed Shooter to bounce a seed off the wall at an angle (up and left) to hit Blue Crystal #4. Go down one screen, left one, drop down the hole, right one, enter the turnstile, go down one screen, left one, up one, right one and enter the turnstile. Go up two screens to fight the mini-boss.
Moonlit Grotto - Defeat the Mini-Boss
Use the Shovel to dig up the moving lump of sand, then hit the mini-boss in the side with the sword. You will take damage if you hit him from the front. It takes about 10-15 hits to defeat the mini-boss.
Moonlit Grotto - Get the Boss Key
From the entrance, step into the Mini-
Boss Warp, go down two screens, step into the turnstile, go left one screen and up one. Walk across the bridge and hit the orb so the spinner goes up and left. Using the Seed Shooter, shoot the spinner so that the seed bounces off and hits the switch, extending the bridge. Cross the bridge and go up one screen.
Shoot the orbs to create bridges to go up one screen, push the block aside, go down one screen on the right, right one,
down two, enter the turnstile and right one screen. Step on the switch so the spinners point up and right, then shoot a seed between them to hit the switch. Go up one and open the chest for the Boss Key.
Moonlit Grotto - Find Shadow Hag
From the entrance, step into the Mini-
Boss Warp, go down two screens, left one and up one. Hit the crystal until the red spinner points down and right, then shoot a seed at it to make a bridge and go up one screen. Shoot the crystal so the spinner points up and left, shoot the spinner to make a bridge appear, hit the crystal so the spinner points up and right, shoot the spinner to make another bridge and go up one screen. Go left one screen through the boss door to find Shadow Hag.
Moonlit Grotto - Defeat Shadow Hag
Avoid Shadow Hag's shadows until they come together. When they do, she will fire several moths and then appear behind you. When she appears behind you, shoot a Scent Seed at the wall so it bounces back and hits her. Do this five times to earn the Echoing Howl.
