Fighter's Sword  

Link's Sword is his main weapon, and will be Link's source of power throughout the game. There are four different swords collected in A Link to the Past.This sword is given to you by your Uncle at the beginning of the game. It is the first sword you will receive and holds no great power. This sword has the power level of one.  

Master Sword  

The legendary blade that rests in the Lost Woods until the hero with all three Pendants wakes it. This blade has the power to emit a beam from its blade to attack enemies from a distance. The Master Sword has a power level of two.  

Tempered Sword  

When you bring the Master Sword to the Blacksmiths in Kakariko Village, they will agree to temper it into a more powerful weapon. The Tempered Sword glows a powerful red and does 2x the damage of the Master Sword. It holds the power level of three.  

Golden Sword  

If you ever are to reach the Mysterious Pond inside the Pyramid of Power, you should dip your Tempered Sword inside the water. For when you do, the Great Faerie will present you with the Golden Sword. The Golden Sword is the most powerful weapon in the game and deals 4x the damage of the Master Sword. This sword will aid Link in his quest to save Hyrule.
