Beside each entry in the Encyclopedia, you will notice codes such as Z1, Z2 or Z3. These codes refer to which game or games apply to each individual entry. Use this legend to decipher our coding system:
Z1 - TLoZ
Z2 - AoL
Z3 - ALttP
Z4 - LA
Z4.5 - LA DELUXE
Z5 - OoT
Z6 - MM
Z7 - OoA
Z8 - OoS
Z9 - ALttP/FS
Z10 - TWW
Z11 - FSA
Please note that the code Z4.5 is only used when an entry appears in the DX version of Link's Awakening and not the regular version. If an entry appears in both games, the code Z4 is used.
Z9 is actually two games in one: A Link to the Past and Four Swords. Since A Link to the Past is essentially the same game as Z3, the code Z9 is used only for entries which apply specifically to Four Swords. The code Z9 is also used if a particular entry exists in the updated version of A Link to the Past, but not in the original game.
Since The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time Master Quest is essentially the same game as The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time, no separate entries are listed for that game.
