Diesel blues blasts out over the speakers as Big Daddy Cool makes his way to the ring for this contest. He plays to the crowd a little then waits for his opponent. "Whatever" plays as the Rabid Wolverine makes his way to the ring.

The match begins with both men shaking hands. They then start to circle the ring, not breaking eye contact. They lock up in the center of the ring but Nash powers Benoit back into the corner, the ref breaks it up and then Benoit ducks a clothesline and hits Nash with a German suplex. Nash gets to his feet and goes for a big boot on Benoit, but Benoit ducks and gets a bulldog on the 7 footer. Benoit climbs to the top rope and goes for a flying crossbody but gets caught, Nash hoists Benoit up in the air, but Benoit reverses the momentum and locks in a Crippler crossface. Nash struggles to get free before making it to the ropes. Benoit is forced to break the hold, but not before using the refs 5 count to hurt Nash more. Nash back up, he goes for a big boot.....and hits it. Benoits out, 1...2...my god, Benoit got the right shoulder off the mat before 3. Nash going for the Jacknife Powerbomb, but Benoit grabs the top rope, Nash hits a slam getting Benoit in the middle of the ring. He goes for a pumphandle slam...Reversed again...CRIPPLER CROSSFACE IN THE MIDDLE OF THE RING. Nash has no option other than to tap. Benoit is the No1 Contender for the title.
