Wap WWE was first created back in 2001 on a server known as WAPJAG, known then as wapWWF it was moderately successful, even briefly spawning a Wap WCW. It was the move to the Tagtag server that cemented Wap WWFs place as the most popular news site on WAP with over 150,000 hits by the time the site closed.
In early 2002 the site was passed from original owner Simon to his brother "Big" Dave, with many feeling he was not as up to the task as Simon, the site only lasting another six months until it merged with inferior rival wapW-W-E, owned by Tazz.
The most popular part of the site is said by many to have been the chatroom where regulars such as Mark, Fi, Dani, Jen, Graeme and Omar did battle with a bunch of idiots known as Hogans Crew, some of the memories of which are to be found in the Bits and Pieces section in the left column. Despite the attacks great friendships grew from the chat, some of which still exist to this day. The chat however began to drift apart toward the end, many such as Jon, Fi and Graeme to the new E-Feds and in particular VWWE whos chatroom was taking off in a big way.
In 2003, wapW-W-E folded and VWWE owner Mick decided, rather than let this great franchise die, VWWE would carry on the tradition, the site however was not updated regularly due to VWWEs E-Fed commitments and died in early 2005.
Now, eight years after it's original inception - Wap WWE returns to WAP in it's original Tagtag form, ready to help rebuild to once great mobile internet wrestling community.
