He has been lecturing in Sociology for 4 years in Singapore on the University of London external degree programme. The London School of Economics regulates the syllabus, sets and marks the examinations.
Steven's main interest is in the area of Philosophy and Social Theory, and has conducted research into other areas such as Sectarianism; Social Inclusion/Exclusion; Phenomenology and Ethnomethodology; Reductionism; Postmodernism; Identity and The State. Before leaving Ireland for Singapore he was working with an organisation that deals with inner city and rural homelessness.
