MA Social Policy

The MA Social Policy is a well established programme. It is of particular relevance to students currently employed in the public and voluntary sectors who work in, or may wish to work in, middle management. It is also a good training programme for students who have a background knowledge and experience of social policies who wish to seek employment in the public or voluntary sectors or others who have a first degree in social science who wish to pursue advanced study in social policy.

Programme structure
Students take four core modules over the two years plus two skills modules. Students may choose to do either a 15, 000 word dissertation in which case they would take one option or a 10,000 word dissertation and two options. Alternatively, students may choose to complement the core and skills modules with four taught options.
