At Middlesex University we study the sociological, politcal & historical forces that have dictated the fascinating developments in law, crime & society.  

We focus on factors such as the breakdown of 'social control' & and the effects of poverty; the bewildering variety of crime, from individual violence to conspiracies of multinational corporations; & the role of mass media in focusing public attitude to crime & criminal justice.  

Criminology can be studied full-time or part-time and as a single honours degree or combined with another subject such as Psychology, Legal Studies or Sociology.
