Q: What do Sikhs believe in and why?
A: Sikhs believe in the teachings of Guru Granth Sahib Jee, which is the embodiment of the Sikh Gurus (see section: The Gurus). The belief in, and practice of the teachings of Guru Granth Sahib Jee is important because it is the divine knowledge of the Guru which will free us from the bonds of human life and help us merge with Only and the Omnipresent God.
Other than that, Sikhs believe in living a logical life and pay no respect to worldly/meaningless rituals. This aspect makes Sikhi a religion and a way of life which is practical. Earning an honest living, sharing with others and remembering God at all times are the other important aspects of this great religion.
