MP Dr. Younis Al-Astal, a member of Hamas- affiliated change and reform parliamentary bloc, confirmed on Sunday that if the IOF troops invaded the Gaza Strip, there would be ominous consequences heralding the beginning of the end for the " Zionist entity" and shattering its aspirations at the hands of the Palestinian resistance.  

This came during an open political meeting entitled "The autumn conference and the Palestinian cause, where to?" called for by Hamas public relations department in Khan Younis, southern Gaza Strip.  

Dr. Astal also stated that if PA chief Mahmoud Abbas recognized Israel as a state of Jews, the Palestinian refugees' right of return would be revoked which also would give Israel the right to expel the 1984 Palestinians, considering it a serious step leading to the liquidation of the Palestinian cause and divesting it of its content.  

The lawmaker pointed out that US president George Bush was able through his conference to achieve gains for the Israelis at the expense of the Palestinian rights, so as to complete his project of a new Middle East, which only serves the interests of Israel in the region.  

For his part, Dr. Mustafa Al-Sawaf, the chief-editor of Palestine newspaper, stated that the Annapolis conference achieved nothing for the Palestinian people, pointing out that the conference posed as an international blessing to eliminate the Palestinian resistance through three options represented in invading Gaza, tightening the siege on Hamas government or pressuring Hamas to recognize Israel and to waive the Palestinian people's rights.  

Sawaf pointed out that all parties are totally convinced that the third option is impossible, adding that tightening the siege and invading Gaza would lead to an explosion in the whole Arab and Islamic region, which would be the beginning of the end of Israel and the approach of victory for the Palestinian people and cause.  

In another development, the military analyst in the second Israeli TV quoted Israeli intelligence sources as saying that the Palestinian resistance possesses quantities of upgraded rockets, capable of striking vital and sensitive areas in downtown Ashkelon, pointing out that this prevented the IOF troops so far from carrying out a large- scale military operation against Gaza.  

According to the Israeli military analysis provided by the TV channel, the next battle would be harsh, severe and complex when it happens.  

According to the TV channel, the Israeli military sources pointed out that Hamas succeeded in manufacturing rockets with ranges of 25 kilometers and capable of carrying three kilograms of high explosive materials, adding that more than half a million Israeli citizens would be in the range of those rockets in the areas located between the Kiryat Gat town in the south and the southern suburbs of the Ashdod port to the north of Ashkelon.  

For their part, the Palestinian resistance factions vowed to inflict painful strikes on the IOF troops, asserting that there would be a lot of surprises awaiting them if they thought of invading the Gaza Strip.
