Dr. Yousef Mansi, the minister of Awkaf and religious affairs in the PA caretaker government,
has warned the Arab and Muslim leaders of racing behind the mirage of the autumn conference while the Aqsa Mosque is still threatened with demolition.
Mansi in a press release on Sunday said that excavations are still in full swing under the holy Aqsa Mosque at the hands of IOA, which is also exerting incessant efforts to judaize the Mosque's vicinity.
He noted that the IOA is holding exercises on storming the Aqsa compound under trivial pretexts and in a manner leaving no room for doubt about the IOA "
ill intentions"

The minister appealed to the Arab and Islamic leaders along with the Quds committee to assume their national, regional and ethical responsibility towards protecting the Aqsa Mosque.
Mansi also warned the PA leadership in Ramallah of continuing in the road of humiliation by and subordination to occupation. He asked them to refrain from further meetings with Zionist officials at a time the Aqsa Mosque is subjected to "judaization and destruction"
